I am an Assistant Professor at Portland State University in the Department of Computer Science, where I lead the DIPr (Database & Internet Privacy) Lab. My research lies at the intersection of data management and privacy, aiming to enhance user control and data privacy — in particular, policy-aware data processing to create data management systems that are fast, scalable, transparent, secure, and privacy-preserving.
I completed my PhD in Computer Science at University of California, Irvine with Prof. Sharad Mehrotra as my advisor, and before that received an M.S. in Computer Science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where I worked with Prof. Anupam Joshi.
