DigiGuide: A DT-based Occupant Guiding System for Optimizing Comfort and Energy Consumption

This paper presents DigiGuide, a Digital Twin-based occupant guiding system that uses NSGA-III optimization to proactively balance energy efficiency and multi-factor comfort (thermal, acoustic, crowdedness, etc,.) across dynamic indoor environments. Validated in two large-scale settings (a co-working space and an airport), DigiGuide achieved 18.2% better comfort and 8.6% energy savings compared to baseline strategies.
