I am Jason Niba, a student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business Technology Administration. My academic interests focus on the relationship between business strategy and emerging technologies, particularly how organizations can leverage connected systems and data-driven solutions to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
I am interested in pursuing research in the Internet of Things (IoT), with an emphasis on how interconnected devices can be used to collect, analyze, and communicate information in secure and scalable environments. As technology continues to evolve, I am especially interested in exploring the integration of IoT and artificial intelligence to create smarter systems capable of supporting business and technological innovation.
Outside of research, I enjoy learning about network architecture, cybersecurity practices, and ethical hacking techniques. I am fascinated by how secure systems are designed, tested, and maintained in increasingly complex digital environments. I also have a strong interest in data visualization and the use of AI-powered tools to transform large datasets into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
